Description

Taking inspiration from a wide range of titles including Open TTD, Anno and Factorio, Rise of Industry is a RTS which takes place in an industrial boom.

The player may need to invest heavily in dirty coal and oil powered industry. Natural resources and fledgling towns are scattered across the map, and it’s your own industrial strategy that determines the future. Build factories, construct efficient transport lines, move raw resources, produce finished goods, and arrange trades with the world’s developing cities, providing them with the material they need to flourish – for as they grow and prosper, you do too.

Features

Construction: Factories, logistic centres, mines, lumber yards, oil wells, water pumps, rock quarries… Construct them strategically to make optimal use of the terrain available, while still leaving the towns plenty of room to expand into cities or even metropolises.

Transportation: Facilitate the transportation of both raw materials and finished products at every stage production with the help of conveyor belts, pipes, trucks, trains, ships, and even zeppelins. Each mode of travel has it’s own advantages and drawbacks, and it’s up to you to sort this logistics puzzle.

Production: Want to make some citizens happy with brand new cars? Great! You just need a factory, some engines, tires and frames. Where do you get that? Well, you’re going to need some other factories to make it out of metal and rubber, right? Where do you get that? Maybe a refinery and some smelters… The list goes on, intricate planning required here!

Management:All these buildings and vehicles don’t operate on their own. Fuel and electricity will be needed to keep all cogs and wheels turning. Trucks and trains will sip up gasoline. Factories and conveyor belts will soak up electricity. It’s your job to ensure the supply doesn’t end. Dig up more oil and coal to burn else everything will crawl to a halt.

Commerce: Each town and city will request different resources or products. If you can meet those demands you might be rewarded with other unique products or persistent buffs to your industrial capability. Unlock new levels as you satisfy more and more of the growing city’s needs, earning yourself greater and greater rewards each time.
