Description
Dragon Quest Builders is an action role-playing game, set in Alefgard – the world of the original Dragon Quest. However, unlike in the ending of the original game, the Dragonlord succeeded in destroying Alefgard and so players are tasked with rebuilding the world. In order to do so you have to gather materials and build elements to restore peace in the shattered realm.
There are three different game modes that you can play:
- FUN – Gather materials, craft items, and build everything imaginable
- ADVENTURE – Play through a tale in a sandbox world packed with memorable characters and dangerous monsters
- SAVE THE WORLD – Use the power of creation in battle against the reigning Dragonlord
The game stays true to its heritage and you will encounter familiar monsters and familiar items as you travel throughout Alefgard. As in other Dragon Quest games you will also be presented with plenty of quests that you need to complete, giving structure to the building parts of the game, which may be unfamiliar to those more used to the original series. For those that don’t know the original games but are attracted to the creative freedom on offer in Dragon Quest Builders, this game will serve as a good introduction to the Dragon Quest universe.
