Factorio Will Not Be On Steam Greenlight
Factorio will not be entering Steam Greenlight this month as previously planned.
Instead, in a blog post, the developers said that someone at Valve had invited them to go straight onto Steam without the need for being greenlit.
This now means that the developers are aiming to launch it on Steam in January although ‘as usual this is a plan and plans can change’. Even when it is launched on Steam, the game will remain in beta for some time as more features are added.
Version 0.12 of the game is nearing becoming marked as stable and perhaps by the time Factorio comes to Steam, we will see a stable version of the planned 0.13 release – which should contain the much anticipated tech tree.
