Factorio is Now on Steam
Factorio is now available on Steam.
As one of our favourite early access games, we’ve been looking forward to this for a while. And we’ve seen the devs work extremely hard to get to this point, making it super stable and tweaking graphics, as well as producing a pretty new trailer (see below).
One of the biggest advantages to being able to play the game on Steam is that it will, hopefully, make launching the multiplayer easier. We love the multiplayer, but at first it can be tricky to set up as it involves fiddling with port forwarding settings and so on. Fingers crossed that playing Factorio multiplayer via Steam should make the process smoother
The game remains in early access and it is the stable version 0.12 that is available on Steam. The developers continue to work on 0.13, which will include lots of improvements that we can’t wait for.

The devs currently plan to release the full version of the game in summer 2017. We can’t wait.
